Felt kinda weird when I found out the news. that sad kind of weird. I do not know him personally but I guess he is someone I looked up to.
Dr Wee Kim Wee is the first political figure that I took notice of. It must had been like 20 years ago when my eye for politics and current affairs awakened. Ha. I guess it also helped that he was the 'People's President' and was always around for community events. AND he is the first President of Singapore that I had any recollection for.
Hmm.. thinking of Presidents... of all 3 we had so far, I had some kind of connection with them I realise. Ha.
Dr. Wee Kim Wee as I mentioned, was the first President that I took notice of. And I truly like him alot.
Mr Ong Teng Cheong, I seen him once I think. When I was in Chinese High. And yah.. he was an alumni. So... i guess we are bonded in some sense?
The current President, Mr. S R Nathan. I shook hands with him! Ha. Kent Ridge Hall Official Opening.
So... heh... now that I am going back to the service to work... would I have a connection with the next president? :P
We shall see.
