Pride

Woke up feeling i need to let everything all out of me. all the frustration and inner struggle that i had suddenly just accumulated. what's better to let it go (without hurting anyone) through blogging? :P

I take pride in things I do. I take pride in keeping my girl happy. I take pride in keeping my friends together. I take pride in organising events like birthdays and get-togethers. I take pride in buying stuff for my parents. And contrary to common beliefs, I take pride in my work.

Maybe I haven't acheived the best of things, maybe I haven't left an impact in the world or maybe I haven't lived up to expectations. But one thing I know. I tried my best.

I don't aim to be an inspiration. I don't aim to be a saint. I don't aim to impress. I concentrate on getting the job done. In the midst of things, I might have offended you, I might have inspired; I might have left an impact on you, I might have made enemies; I laughed, I cried. In the end, I just want to get the job done.

I loved the people I worked with, they might not have; I might have disgusted people, I might have impressed; I might have set new directions, I might have went back in time; In the end, I just want to get the job done.

I lost some friends, I made new ones; I trembled, I entertained; I was a child, I matured; I was lost, I found myself; I made mistakes, I learnt. In the end, I got the job done.

In getting the job done, I had found so many memories. Some memorable, some forgettable. I take pride in my work. No matter what you say. Sorry if I can't please everyone, it wasn't part of the job.

You have a right to critisise. But make sure you have enough to back it up. Not just some silly assumptions or accusations. Cos if not, I will defend my work like a wounded animal. Wounded pride is far worse than physical wounds.

I have let it all out. How come I am not feeling better? Hmmm....

Extend your hand, do what you can;
It's up to the other party to accept or reject it.

a wound leaves a scar. the scar slowly wears away through reconciliation, but mind you it doesn't disappear.

dunno how u got criticised, but if u can choose to ignore it, maybe juz ignore it then. as u already said, u can't please everybody.

we're all humans n we learn lessons in life as we mature. so most impt thing is, continue getting things done, but with more tact n wisdom.

cheer up pal.
