Hong Kong Part I

OK. I am back from the Pearl of the Orient. haha. one significant thing i learnt is... the alcohol there is dirt cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!

Normal Beer like Tiger and Heineiken... are $1 per 330ml can!
Imported Beer like Kilkenny and Boddington are $3 per pint!!!!
And N.American and European wine are about 75% the price we have here.
Australian wines are expensive though.

And I am not talking about duty free prices... these are the prices found in the supermarkets. OH MY GOSH. and I only drank two cans in total for the 4 days we were there. tsk tsk tsk tsk tsk!!!!

Ha. The ice apple wine and iniskillin ruby reserve is supposed to be the bomb. the ruby reserve cost $226 for a 375ml bottle DFS price. Superb. I bought the combo set of 2x200ml bottles. Heh. there is this platinum reserve going for $146 per 375ml bottle too. fwah... one day i will blog here and tell u all how good the above are!

Dr Loosen won the Germany Winemaker of the Year in 2001, Mont Gras won the Best Chilean Winemaker award in 2002. And the Wolf Blass holds a Gold Medal from some wine fair in 2003.
heh... superb collection i am amassing. whooooopeeeee!!!!!!!!
