Loyalty?

Been a while since I blogged. Ha. Wondering who else still visits. =P

had been (trying) to read this book i borrowed from yz. "men are from mars and women are from venus". alrite kinda interesting cos it REALLI identifies how the different sexes work and how different are we in approaching certain.. er.. issues. what i don't like about the book is that it is kinda persuasive. keep trying to tell the reader how successful the book had been in reconciling couples and stuff. com'on! if you are not good, i wudn't even been reading it.

had some time to think this couple of days. one big question suddenly just pops up. (coupled with lessons from HRM...) What is loyalty? Who really knows the true meaning of that word? Loyal to your friend? Loyal to the organisation? Loyal to the country? Loyal to your partner? Loyal to what extent? To the extent of not showing the real ME? You don't voice negative comments on decisions made by the organisation that you belonged to because you are loyal? Or at least you don't do it in public? I think this is a very subjective issue... especially loyalty to the others around you. But... have we asked? How loyal had we been to ourselves? sounds selfish? go ponder. Have we had the time to REALLY do what we want to do? Say what we want? Think independently? Go ponder.

Caught "Shall we dance?" with *who else?*. found this part of the story very interesting, where the wife commented to the husband during his birthday, "Do you have anything you REALLY want that comes in a box?" cos she din noe what to get for him for his birthday. The husband, played by Richard Gere, was stunned. (so was i). So, during my before sleep ritual of thinking every night, i actually thought of what i would like to have, that comes in a box. The verdict: I have no answer for that question.

well.. just for the curious reader. She eventually bought him a pair of dancing shoes after she found out that he had been secretly dancing without her knowledge... for the details, catch the show. It's pretty good. Love the soundtrack but couldn't find it.. online. Shall try the stores... when i am feeling rich. =P

vader: stop the war la. we live in harmony.

What's loyalty?
Do you have anything that you really want and it comes in a box?
