A Jug Story

Heard a superb story today which makes a lot of sense:

Say you take a jug and feel it with rocks to the brim.
You might say it is full. But actually it's not.
Then you take some pebbles and pour them into the jug containing the rocks.
Shake them up a little until you can put no more in.
You can again say it is full. But then again, actually it's not.
Next you take sand. And pour them all in. Until you can pour no more.
Maybe now we can say it's filled.

Imagine this jug as your life. The rocks being the things that are important to you. Things like your family, your loved ones and your health. The pebbles might be the things like your career, your house and your car. And the sand, the little things that makes your life complete.

We must have full control of our life. Placing importance in the things that are important to us, like the rocks. Cause even without the pebbles or the sand, our life would still be full. Setting priorites are very important too. Cause if we focus on the sand first and filled up the jug, there wouldn't be space for the rocks thereafter.

Take control of your life. Know what's important and set your priorities.

Coming back to the jug. Let's say we take a cup of tea... or a mug of beer. We can still fill up the jug. Simply put it. No matter how filled our life is, there is always time for a mug of beer. =)

Cheers.

The girls had a great game yesterday. Many 'virgins' broken. *i still cant believe you all coined that up* and a hair clip for every 5 goals scored?!!?!? haha. amused. at least it brings the team together. felt great to see the exhilaration on their faces when they scored their first goal in the sport. Well done. Those who played for the first time did well too! Moment of the game for me was when we manage to score when we are 2 men (girls) down. that was THE bomb.

well, was at a certain forum just now. disgusted by ourselves but yet amused by some of their comments. what a way to sign off my final ihg.

anyway, hon. just for you if you are still sneaking on my blog. It's crystal clear now. If you know what I mean. ;)

How much is pride worth?
